Marine Science
Hawaiian EDventure offers an array of academic, cultural, recreational and experiential travel programs that blend Hawaii’s culture, science, history and ethnic diversity. EDventure’s custom-designed programs may be created to meet your educational and recreational objectives.
Our “Marine Science” program may include one, two or a three-island exploration. If you let us know what your educational/recreational needs are; Hawaiian EDventure will design the PERFECT program for your group. Below, see some sample descriptions of the Marine Science EDventure highlights.
Marine environment-Intertidal lagoon exploration-Snorkel

Sea Turtle
We will take part in a discussion and slide presentation on “Hawaii’s Unique Marine Environment”. Other topics to be considered will include coral reef ecology, endemism and reef species identification. Participants will then depart for a local beach park, where we will explore some of the many intertidal lagoons found there. A “hands-on” sea lab touch tank will offer close up observation of near-shore invertebrates. The remainder of the day will be spent snorkeling and exploring the coral gardens of Wai`uli Bay. This will prove to be an excellent opportunity to observe a growing coral reef community. The Hawaiian green sea turtle may also be seen there.
