Hula Immersion on Hawaii’s Big Island – A Hula Program provided by the University of Hawaii at Hilo – Hawaiian EDventure Program
A full week of intensive instruction with one of Hilo’s famed Kumu Hula instructors. Spend a week on the beautiful Island of Hawai`i and learn the ancient art of Kahiko dance, traditional chanting and lei making. Learn the rhythms of the ipu and how the instruments and implements are used to accompany the dance. Your visit will end with a sacred offering to Pele as you perform your Kahiko dance at the edge of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
