Hawaiian EDventure offers an array of academic, cultural, recreational and experiential travel programs that blend Hawaii’s culture, science, history and ethnic diversity. EDventure’s custom-designed programs may be created to meet your educational and recereational objectives.

The Island of Hawaii, Stargazing at MAUNA KEA

Mauna Kea Onizuka visitor Center: Located at 9,300 foot (2,800 m), you will receive health, safety, universal, cultural, scientific and environmental information which will permit you to understand the significance of the “White Mountain” (Mauna Kea), and get used to the altitude before reaching the summit at 13,786 foot (4,306 m).
Moreover, telescopes will be set up at night to discover and see the wonder of the Universe with a passionate group of experts.

Mauna Kea observatories: Mauna Kea is one of the best locations in the World for stargazing. Its high altitude (13,786 foot), and Hawaiian location allows around 300 clear nights per year. Therefore, breakthrough discoveries are made everyday. No wonder why Hawai’i is worlwidely famous for astronomy.

‘Imiloa Astronomy Center: A unique Hawaiian voyage through Time and Space

‘Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawaii tells dual stories of the renowned Maunakea volcano, with its world-famous astronomy and rich traditions of Hawaiian culture. ‘Imiloa, which means “exploring new knowledge,” reflects both the Hawaiian voyages of discovery and the explorations of astronomy.
